Cowboy Cut Tops

The Western-cut shirt continues its popularity into a new season. This model, from Ventilo Paris, graced the cover of French Cosmopolitan’s March issue. We love it paired with printed slim jeans and stilettos, to add a chic, unexpected touch.  I want to see some true Texas cowgirls in jeans and stillettos !

Fringe Forever

One cannot escape it ! Fringe returns season after season in new and creative ways. On belts, on jackets, tops and handbags.

Le Nouveau Western

In the page above from French Elle, grouping the latest western chic looks to hit the Hexagon, my favorite piece is Hedi Slimane’s full length suede dress. In his debut collection for Saint Laurent Paris, Slimane pays tribute to a wildly sophisticated West. Be on the lookout for the matching, wide-brimmed sombrero, too.

Cowboy boots continue to dominate the scene, both the low boot, highly accessorized or ultra simple, and the traditional « vintage » variety, with some fashionistas remaining faithful to basic black. We, at the Maverick, really love Old Gringo boots, among many others, and so do our customers, judging from the fantastic demand !

Stars and Stripes

In closing, had to include this navy cowgirl shirt with stars (worn here with a discreet bolo), as it reminds me of Steve Murrin, the « Mayor of Cowtown », (also known as my daddy), whose collection of custom-made cowboy shirts from Fort Worth's own Williams Western Tailors, includes a seventies-era, navy and star-spangled version – a real collector’s item.

One last look.... at these awesome white leather, laser cut pants and a stars-and-stripes jean jacket worn with baggy patchwork jeans...we'll look at the lastest trends in jeans and denim next week! Thanks for reading!
